Weekend Respite & Children with Additional Needs
As a member of the Bucks Community Childminding
Network (BCCN) I work 2-3 Saturdays per month offering
respite to parents with children that have additional needs.
I have prior experience in caring for children with Aspergers/Autism, ADHD, Epilepsy, Moderate Learning Difficulties and type 1 diabetes and take children up to the age of 12 years but do have experience with teenagers if needed.
I will always try and support any special needs a child may have, however will always balance this against my experience and ability, combined wth the facilities my setting can offer and the other children in my care.
By regularly attending specialist training I ensure my knowledge and understanding is kept up to date. Some of the relevent training courses I have attended are listed below. I have also completed the 'Short Breaks Carers Workbook.'

Minimum Hours: 3 hours
Under 8 years: £7.00 per hour
8 Years + £7.50 per hour
